In the beginning of time, the first God of the universe, Pan Gu, lived an immortal life. But with no subjects to lord over, Pan Gu grew tired of his solitary existence and decided to decompose his body into five elements-fire, metal, wood, earth, and water. With his divine power, Pan Gu forged these elements into air, land, mountains, rivers, seas, and plant life and laid the foundation for a new world. It was then that Pan Gu made his first attempt to fill this new world with life. From his shadow he formed the first sentient beings. These unnamed creatures were uncivilized, and before long, they began turning on one another and corrupting the world around them. Pan Gu saw that what he had created had become an Imperfect World, and moved quickly to rectify his mistake. He built a floating city known as Heaven's Tear, and placed within the city the few creatures that had yet to be corrupted. Then, with the power of water and wind, Pan Gu created a massive flood, which swept through the land and destroyed all life in its path.
The world now cleansed, Pan Gu set about creating a new world, one filled with beings who were capable of Spiritual Cultivation. He created three races that possessed the traits he most treasured in himself. The Human race was born of Pan Gu's spirit, and demonstrated morality, honor, and an unlimited imagination. The race of the Untamed, born of Pan Gu's body, embodied freedom and peace, and possessed a unique connection with the natural order of the world. And the third race, the Winged Elves, were born of Pan Gu's own blood, and exemplified beauty, grace, and purity. Between the three races, the Perfect World was created.
The chief quality that Pan Gu gave all three races was free will. He vowed never again to eradicate an entire species, so all conflicts between the races were to be resolved amongst themselves. One such conflict arose between the Humans and Winged Elves when the two races discovered the city of Heaven's Tear. A war erupted as they fought for control of the great city, bringing out the worst in both races. The Untamed remained neutral, as they were content with living in harmony with the natural world. As the war intensified, and neither side relented, a new threat emerged.
The race that was thought to have been eradicated in the great flood returned in full force. These creatures were not quite living, but not quite dead, and thus came to be known as wraiths. The wraiths appeared to possess a singular objective: to destroy the other races and corrupt the beautiful world around them. Rumors swirled that the wraiths were capable of possessing other living things. Not much is known about the true nature of this evil, but one thing is clear. The three races Human, Untamed, and Winged Elf must set aside their differences and unite to preserve their way of life, halt the spread of corruption, and above all, protect the Perfect World.

CHARACTER
ARCHER
As guardians of the Winged Elves, Archers are both strong and agile. The heightened reflexes of the Archer provide the steady aim required to vanquish enemies from afar. With an unwavering sense of pride and duty, Archers can learn to shoot arrows both elemental and poisonous in nature. Archers gain the ability to fly at level 1, providing them with an early advantage in terms of mobility. Archers are one of the primary ranged damage dealers in Perfect World, specializing in critical hit percentage and accuracy. While having somewhat of a slower start than most other classes, this class really shines above level 70.

ELF PRIEST
As the primary healers of Perfect World, Elf Priest are masters of supportive and recovery spells, which makes them an invaluable addition to any group or party . In addition, Elf Priest specialize in using metal elemental attacks and can curse their enemies to reduce their defense,speed or attack damage. As damage dealers, Elf Priest are incredibly, flexible and versatile. They possess both physical and magical ranged attacks allowing them to take down any target regardless of what type of armor they may be wearing. Elf Priest are traditionaly built with low physical defense but can also be adjusted statistically to wear light armor and as a result become more durable in the face of physical damage.

WARRIOR
Specializing in melee combat, these damage-dealers come from a long line of seasoned warriors. They are also famous for being a strong solo class after level 70. Heavy strength build in order to wear heavy armor or a mix between strength and dexterity while wearing light armor which has a better mix of magical and physical defense.

WEREBEAST

These fighters are also capable of shapeshifting into white tiger form in order to maximize their physical defense and damage mitigation. Werebeast can allocate their stats a variety of ways, either building for maximum defense or maximum damage.

Evolved from an assortment of bats, foxes and other small creatures. Werefoxs are cute, seductive and deadly. Werefoxs have a lot of freedom in terms of allocating their stats. They can invest a lot of points into strength in order to equip heavy armor and strengthen their defense while in fox form. They can go full intelligence in order to maximize their ranged poison attacks or even go for a mix of both in order to wear light armor to mitigate both magical and physical defense.

PVP and PVE
Within the game several modes of battle exist. They range from Player vs. Environment (PVE) which includes monsters, bosses, and raids to Player vs. Player (PVP). In PVP players actively engage each other in combat in order to test skills and kill one another. When you kill another player this is known as player killing or PKing. Below are the different visual character statuses a player can be in:
Blue Names : Player is in shield mode. They cannot attack or be attacked by any players.
White Names : Player is currently neutral. They may have activated PK mode but has yet to attack anyone.
Pink Names : Player has definitely killed other players. In this mode you can lose items from your inventory and your equipment slots if you are killed while infamous. so be careful.
Red Names : Player has killed many other players. Be careful of red names because you can be next. The more kills you rack up the longer you will stay in this mode. The punishment for death while you have a red name is far more severe than usual. Killing monsters at or above your level will reduce the duration of being infamous.
Note : There are lots of safe zones in Perfect World. You cant PK in these areas.
Note : Players are forced into PK status during Territory Wars and some special activities. There is no death penalty during these times.
DEATH PENALTY
When dying in the game there is always a penalty. Whether it be just exp lost or something more severe. Below is what you can possibly lose while in the different character states.
Note: Items Currently Equipped Include: Weapons, Armor, Accessories, Flying Mounts, Mystical Tomes, and Chat items.
Note: All items within your inventory may be dropped, with the exception of items that are bound.
Players of different levels and server types will have different PK restrictions. They are as follows:
PVP STATUS
- Level 1-29: Between these levels the users are not permitted to enter PK mode. They cannot attack or be attacked by other players.
- Level 30 and higher: These levels are free to PK. Once users become this level they are flagged for PVP. There is no way to turn it off but areas like cities will still be considered safe zones and will be PK off.
PVE STATUS
- Level 1-29: Between these levels the users are not permitted to enter PK mode. They cannot attack or be attacked by other players.
- Level 30 and higher: These levels are free to PK but in order to do so the player must activate it themselves. In this way a user will not have to PK if they do not want to unless they enter areas that require PK like territory wars.

-Character loses no EXP or items when killed.
Binding Charms
-Bound equipment will not drop if your character dies and cannot be traded,discarded,sold or decomposed. You can destroy bound equipment at the PW Promotion Agent. The destroy process takes 72 hours during which it can be canceled.
Gold Guardian Charms
-Fully recovers HP if below 50%. Its contains 600,000 HP.
-Cooldown 10 seconds.
Gold Spirits Charms
-Fully recovers HP if below 50%. Its contains 900,000 HP.
-Cooldown 5 seconds.
Silver Guardian Charms
-Fully recovers HP if below 50%. Its contains 350,000 HP.
-Cooldown 10 seconds.
Silver Spirits Charms
-Fully recovers MP if below 75%. Its contains 525,000 MP.
